Ahead of the Philadelphia 76ers‘ second game of 2025, the team released their injury report, detailing the state of the team’s health in the second game of a back-to-back. Embiid sat in the Sixers’ first matchup of this back-to-back against the Sacramento Kings but is potentially available for tonight’s nationally televised matchup against the Golden State Warriors.

Headlining the injury report was Joel Embiid who is officially listed as questionable. While not a full commitment, everything seems to be trending as expected toward Embiid playing. Following yesterday’s loss to the Kings, Philly could certainly use their superstar as they continue to look for their first win of the new year.

As for the negative update in the report, Kelly Oubre is once again out as he continues to recover from a sprained hand and is joined by Andre Drummond who, despite playing in yesterday’s matchup, is working his way back from a sprained toe. KJ Martin and Jared McCain also remain out for the Sixers.

A notable absence from the report is Paul George, who, coming into the season, drew concerns he would sit half of each back-to-back, similar to the plan for Joel Embiid. Until the final minutes of the matchup, Paul George was in the midst of arguably his best game as a Sixer.

Finishing with 30 points, eight rebounds, and five assists while playing stellar defense, to have George back in this second game is a majorly positive development. While the Warriors are depleted themselves, the remain a team the Sixers cannot take lightly.
