As the Philadelphia 76ers faced off against the Hornets down in Charlotte, the Sixers desperately needed a positive development and saw an offensive explosion from Tyrese Maxey and Paul George. The latter of which found himself ascending an all-time list amidst his barrage of threes.

With his third three-pointer of the night, Paul George tied Jason Terry, 2282, for the tenth most made threes in NBA history. With his fourth, George would take sole possession of that spot, beginning the hunt for the ninth spot in NBA history, where Vince Carter currently sits.

George’s season in Philadelphia has been anything but ideal. Suffering from a hyperextended left knee twice in the young season led to a very inconsistent start to the year for George, who came into the night averaging 15.9 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 4.9 assists on the season.

While he would likely prefer to stack wins over individual accolades, this is certainly a much-needed influx of good news in an otherwise frustrating season. As previously mentioned, Vince Carter sits in the ninth spot on the all-time three-pointers list but at just 2290 total threes made. It won’t be long before George climbs another rung of the ladder.
