Early on Saturday morning, FIFA released the full match schedule for the 2025 edition of the FIFA Club World Cup which is set to be held in 12 venues across the United States next summer, and it looks like Philadelphia has some pretty big matchups coming to Lincoln Financial Field.
Groups were previously decided on December 5th and pit some of the World’s biggest and most successful clubs against each other in the inaugural edition of the expanded Club World Cup format.
Club World Cup 2025: Philadelphia set to host some of the biggest teams in the world
The tournament will kick-off on June 14th, 2025 in Miami, FL with a matchup between Inter Miami FC and Al Ahly at Hard Rock Stadium – Inter Miami’s brand new 65,000-seat venue – and will continue on with 3 to 4 group-stage matches everyday until the conclusion of the group stage on June 26th.
There’s tons of great matchups throughout the group-stage of this tournament, but Philadelphia really did luck out with some incredible pairings featuring some of the biggest clubs in the world. The tournament should serve as a great trial run for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will also have matches hosted at The Linc in the following Summer, alongside the MLB All-Star game at Citizens Bank Park, and the United States’ Semiquincentennial celebration.

2025 FIFA Club World Cup group stage
June 16th: CR Flamengo (BRA) vs. Espérance Sportive de Tunis (TUN)
June 18th: Manchester City (ENG) vs. Wydad AC (MAR)
June 20th: CR Flamengo (BRA) vs. Chelsea FC (ENG)
June 22nd: Juventus FC (ITA) vs. Wydad AC (MAR)
June 24th: Chelsea FC (ENG) vs. Espérance Sportive de Tunis (TUN)
June 26th: Real Madrid C.F. (ESP) vs. FC Salzburg (AUT)
In addition to the group stage matches, Philadelphia has been granted the opportunity to host two matches during the knockout stage, one of which will be on July 4th, Independence Day here in America:
June 28th: Winner of Group A vs Runner-up of Group B
July 4th: Winner of Match 49 (Group A vs Runner-up of Group B) vs Winner of Match 50 (Winner of Group C vs Runner-up of Group D)
