Paul George exited last night’s contest against the Memphis Grizzlies with a hyperextended left knee, the same knee he injured at the start of the season. The Sixers have announced that George received an MRI of his left knee, and it revealed no structural damage. He will be listed as “out” for the next two contests against the Brooklyn Nets on Friday and Los Angeles Clippers on Sunday.
Paul George to miss next two NBA games
He will be reevaluated on Monday to determine when his return to the court will be, but this seems to be somewhat good news for George and the Sixers. George missed the first five games of the season when he bruised his left knee previously, so potentially missing only two more games could be huge for a team struggling to get a win.
Although George isn’t anticipated to be out for a long period, it is just another piece in the nightmare start to the Sixers’ season.
