The Philadelphia Eagles have gone from a team searching for their identity a month ago to one that has found it and won six games in a row. They are beating teams by playing strong defense and pounding the ball with Saquon behind a stout (pun intended) offensive line.

The overall play of the defense has transitioned from being average to one of the best in the league. The Eagles’ willingness to play their rookies, something they have shied away from in the past, is a large part of their success.

The defensive backfield has two rookies: Cooper DeJean, who has played amazingly well since taking over as the teams’ slot corner after the bye and is a big part of the defensive transformation, and Quinyon Mitchell, who has blanketed every receiver he has faced all season long. His most recent victim, Commanders WR Terry McLaurin, stated, “He doesn’t really play like a rookie.”

He has the stats to back that up! Here are some of Quinyon’s and many others:

0- The number of touchdowns allowed by Quinyon Mitchell through his first ten games.

1–The amount of passing touchdowns the defense has allowed during their six-game win streak!

2– Jalen Hurts’ rank in the NFL in passer rating since the bye week. (118.6)

3– seasons in a row that the Birds have started 8–2 or better.

4– The number of times Saquon Barkley has rushed for over 140 yards this season.

5.6– The number of yards per play the Eagles offense averages this season.

6– games in a row, the Eagles have 100 or more total yards than their opponent.

7- games left for Saquon to break the Eagle’s all-time rushing yards in a single season. LeSean ‘Shady’ McCoy rushed for 1607 in 2013, he has the most. Barkley currently has 1137 rushing yards.

8–2 The Eagles record as they prepare to face the Rams in Los Angeles on Sunday Night Football. This is their last flight of the regular season.

9– The number of receptions Jahan Dotson has as a Philadelphia Eagle. The Eagles received Dotson and a 2025 5th rd pick, the Commanders a 2025 3rd and 7th rd pick. There is plenty of time for this trade to work in the Eagle’s favor as they can have him on their team for two more seasons by initiating the 5th year club option.

10– opposing teams’ WRs who have been held to 2 or fewer receptions while being covered by Quinyon Mitchell. (C Watson, D London, C Olave, M Evans, A Cooper, M Nabers, J Chase, B Thomas Jr, C Lamb, T McLaurin)

12.6– The average amount of points the Eagle’s opponents have scored since the bye week. The Fangio effect!

13- The number of turnovers the Eagles’ defense has produced this season. This is good for a plus-2 differential.

17- The amount of TDs Jalen Hurts has since their bye week. This leads the NFL during that span!

24- Converted “tush pushes” in 29 attempts (two that failed were two-pt conversions)

25- The percentage of forced incompletions Quinyon Mitchell has caused this season, which is the highest in the NFC.

26– The total amount of offensive drives the Eagles have had ten or more plays.

42–19 Nick Sirianni and Jalen Hurts share the same record as Head Coach and starting QB in the NFL.

58- Yards after the catch allowed by Quinyon Mitchell. YAC Killer!

98- The percentage that the Eagles will make the playoffs per NextGenStats.

199.7- The amount of rushing yards the Eagles average per game during their six-game winning streak, which started coming off their bye week.

814- The difference between the amount of rushing yards the Eagles have versus how many they have allowed.
