The Kansas City Chiefs are still the top dogs when it comes to Super Bowl favorites. They’re the only undefeated team in the NFL and while things haven’t been as pretty this season, a simply dominant defense has more than made up for any shortcomings experienced on the other side of the ball. They still feature a star-studded cast of players, led by the best quarterback in the world, and if Mahomes does begin to heat back up, it might be game over for many.
The Lions and Ravens are in close stead, but both teams have question marks. The Lions put up a 50-burger last time out but Jared Goff threw for just 85 yards, somehow finding 3 touchdown passes in the process. Baltimore has not been playing its best football this year and constantly find themselves scrambling in what should be easy wins. The Browns made them pay for it last week.
Buffalo sits cleanly atop their division with a 6-2 record in what might be the easiest divisional win of the entire year. The other 3 teams in the AFC East have combined for 6 total wins this year and none of them look ready to mount a significant challenge to the resurgent Bills.
Then, there are the injury-ravaged 49ers, who are in a 3-way tie in their divisional race. The NFC West is wide-open with San Francisco’s decimated roster, but Shanahan’s wizardry continues to keep them in the chase.
Why should you bet on the Eagles to win the Super Bowl in 2024?
After a sloppy start, it looks like Philadelphia is finally figuring things out. Their win over the Bengals was a real statement. Jalen Hurts looked like he was back to his best and Saquon Barkley continued to cement himself as one of the best signings this team has ever made. Sprinkle in some breakouts from the likes of Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean on defense, and you have the makings of a truly dominant team.
After suffering injury setbacks early on, the Eagles are finding their feet on both sides of the ball. There is simply too much talent across this roster for the Birds to be anything less than NFC Championship contenders in 2024 and while Washington’s miraculous run continues, Philly has the more stable base to build on when it comes to sustaining such explosive momentum.
The sky is the limit for this team if they can continue to execute and avoid self-inflicted wounds. The Commanders are going to be tricky to unseat at the top of the division, but teething problems could yet haunt them, and had it not been for a miraculous last-ditch effort from Jayden Daniels on Sunday, they would have lost to Chicago.
The Eagles have the best roster in their division and a pretty friendly schedule between now and the end of the year. +1400 feels a little high when it comes to Super Bowl odds, so this could well be a great time to back them.
