The Philadelphia Eagles have gone from a team searching for their identity a month ago to one that has started to find it.
The Birds won their third game in a row, dominating the Bengals in Cincinnati this past Sunday. Since returning from their bye week, the Eagles have started compiling some interesting stats.
Birds By Numbers:
0- The number of Eagles turnovers during their three-game winning streak.
0.0– Joe Burrow’s passer rating when targeting Chauncey Gardner-Johnson.
1–The amount of wins the Eagles have in Cincinnati.
2– The number of turnovers the Eagles defense pilfered from the Bengals.
3– game winning streak. The last time the Eagles won three or more straight was November 2023.
4– Incompletions Jalen Hurts had versus the Bengals. 80% completion rate!
5– The number of completions Jalen Hurts had in six play-action pass attempts. He threw for 114 yards on those five completions.
6– Completions by QB1 on six attempts on passes thrown over the middle. He threw for 102 yards with a touchdown, good for a perfect 158.3 QB rating.
7– points allowed by the Eagle’s defense in the final 35 minutes of the game after giving up seven on the first Bengals drive.
8– Offensive drives for the Eagles in week 8. They scored on 7 of them.
9– Touchdowns zero turnovers for Jalen Hurts during the Eagle’s three-game winning streak.
10– Jalen Hurts carries. He totaled 37 yards and 3 TDs. The average will always be deceptively low due to the 1-yard Brotherly Shoves and kneel-downs that are factored in the YPC.
11– The number of coverage snaps Isaiah Rodgers had after stepping in for B.P. Slay. He did not allow a reception.
12– Team-leading tackles by Zack Baun. After giving way to Nakobe Dean for two weeks, he was back atop the leaderboard. He is also the team leader in tackles on the season.
Bonus Eagles stats:
13– The combined total of receptions Ja’Marr Chase and Malik Nabers had in the last two weeks against the Eagle’s defense. They had 95 yards.
13.8– The number of points the Eagle’s opponents have averaged since week three of the season. The Fangio effect!
24– The number of pass-blocking snaps the offensive line had during the Bengals game. Despite being down two starters, the unit only allowed 3 pressures.
45- The amount of points the Eagles have outscored their opponent over the last two weeks.
90.7 and 91.3– Zack Baun and Nakobe Dean’s PFF grade in week 8. They were their first and second-ranked LBs for the week.
103– The difference in rushing yards between Philadelphia and Cincinnati in Sunday’s game.
5–2 The Eagles record as they prepare to face the Jacksonville Jaguars and Doug Pederson, the only Head Coach to win a Super Bowl for Philadelphia.
