The Philadelphia Eagles have released their final injury report ahead of this weekend’s clash with the Bengals, presenting a mixed bag of news for fans to dive into.

The good news is that Zack Baun is good to go after missing practice earlier in the week with a shoulder injury. The former Saint has been a crucial cog in Philadelphia’s defensive success this year and he’ll be needed against a feisty Bengals’ offense.

The bad news is that the team will be without starting guard Mekhi Becton, who has been brilliant this season. His concussion means we’ll see Tyler Steen get some reps at RG, but it could well be a trial by fire. While the Cincy DT’s haven’t been able to produce many sacks, they’ve paved the lane for Trey Hendrickson to build on his explosive 2023 breakout.

Fred Johnson will be matched up on the dominant defensive end, who already has 7 sacks on the year. You can bet that the Bengals will be licking their chops on trying to create ways to capitalize on both areas of the offensive front.

Dallas Goedert will also miss Sunday’s game, meaning we see more reps for Grant Calcaterra, which isn’t a bad thing, but missing a reliable run-blocker and target over the middle might cause issues. Cincy doesn’t boast the most rampant run defense the world has ever seen, so the Eagles should still be able to assert their authority on the ground, but they might grow to miss Goedert’s soft hands over the middle in a game like this.

The Eagles and Bengals will clash at Paycor Stadium this Sunday at 1PM EST.
