Following their preseason matchup against the Brooklyn Nets, the Philadelphia 76ers announced that they had waived Max Fiedler, Judah Mintz, Isaiah Mobley, and Jordan Tucker ahead of the regular season.
The move is certainly no surprise as the team has 14 standard contracts and three two-way contracts and has expressed a desire to leave one remaining standard slot open.
All four players were on Exhibit 10 contracts. What exactly is an Exhibit 10 contract?
An Exhibit 10 contract is a one-year, non-guaranteed deal worth the league’s minimum salary. In addition to the minimum salary, the deal, teams can include a bonus worth up to $75,000 that will be rewarded if the player—if they are waived—remains with the team’s G League affiliate for at least 60 days. The deadline to waive such players is this Sunday.
All four players are expected to join the 76ers’ G League affiliate, the Delaware Blue Coats, for the upcoming season.
