With a clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on the horizon, the Philadelphia Eagles find themselves in a spot of injury bother offensively. Having already spent 2 weeks without A.J Brown, it now looks like 2 more offensive starters could be joining him on the sidelines.

Eagles injury report: Thursday September 26th

In terms of those who missed practice, there is no change over yesterday’s injury report. Brown, Smitty, and Johnson all missed Thursday’s session.

Smith and Johnson are both currently working through concussion protocol following Sunday’s win over the Saints. Lane was actually present at practice and seen working out with the team taking ‘phantom’ reps as he works towards a return. He has a higher chance of playing on Sunday than DeVonta Smith, who seems to be trending towards needing the weekend off.

With Britain Covey also out for around 6 weeks, the Eagles are likely to lean on the likes of Parris Campbell and Jahan Dotson to fill the short-term void, but they do have other players stashed on the practice squad including rookie wideout Ainias Smith.

Elsewhere, it was good to see that Landon Dickerson was a full participant today after being limited on Wednesday. Mekhi Becton was also a full participant as he intends to work through a torn finger ligament by wearing a cast on Sunday.

At the very least, the Eagles’ injury report shows more signs of optimism than yesterday’s. They’ll need all the reinforcements they can muster to topple the Bucs on the road as they seek revenge for last year’s playoff defeat.
