NBA 2K25 arrived earlier this month, and the Sixers have a brand-new squad with updated ratings. Every year, 2K starts a field day on the internet with their player ratings. This year, the Sixers are set to be one of the best teams in the league. With new additions like Paul George, Andre Drummond, and Caleb Martin decorating the roster and Tyrese Maxey having a breakout year last season, many were curious as to how the new-look 76ers would measure out in 2K.

The Stars

Joel Embiid – 96 Overall

Joel Embiid, after a stellar season in which he averaged 34.7 points per game across 39 games, is once again the highest-rated Sixer on the roster. Embiid, who hasn’t been rated lower than a 90 overall since 2018, is tied for the fourth-highest overall in the game at 96. He is tied with Oklahoma City Thunders’s Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and trails only Milwaukee’s Giannis Antetokounmpo (97), Dallas’s Luka Doncic (97), and Denver’s Nikola Jokic (97).

Had Joel Embiid played in more games, he probably would have been tied for first, if not the best player in the game. His dominance is still respected though, especially after a six-game playoff series in which he averaged 33.0 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 5.7 assists per game. He has 24 badges, 13 of which are gold.

Tyrese Maxey – 89 Overall

After a stellar fourth year in the league, Tyrese Maxey was rewarded in the offseason with a five-year, 204-million-dollar contract. In NBA 2K25, he also received his highest rating yet, at 89 overall, tied for the 21st highest in the league. He is tied with the likes of Damian Lillard and Jimmy Butler and is ahead of guys like De’Aaron Fox and Pascal Siakim.

While many were hoping Tyrese would be rated higher, especially after his first year as an All-Star, the young guard could still see his rating fluctuate depending on his in-season performance. After averaging 25.9 points and 6.2 assists per game for the Sixers last year as the clear number two, Maxey could keep raising his ceiling and his overall.

Paul George – 89 Overall

Paul George is finally a Philadelphia 76er, much to the approval of Sixers fans. In NBA 2K25, Paul George has the same rating as Tyrese Maxey at 89 overall. The 34-year-old small forward/power forward is an excellent 2-way forward, with an 87 overall perimeter defense and an 85 overall three-point shot. He has 24 badges and is tied with Jimmy Butler as the second-best small forward in the game. He and Butler trail only Finals MVP Jaylen Brown, who has a 92 overall rating this season.

George is coming off a year with the Los Angeles Clippers in which he averaged 22.6 points per game on 47.1/41.3/90.7 shooting splits while also supplying 5.2 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game.

The Returning Players

Kelly Oubre Jr. – 79 Overall

Kelly Oubre Jr. is rated at a 79 overall despite being one of the best players on the Sixers last season. Last season, he averaged 15.4 points and 5.0 rebounds per game, playing 30.2 minutes per game. While he didn’t have the best efficiency last year, playing with a healthy Joel Embiid and Paul George will certainly make a difference for him.

Kyle Lowry – 76 Overall

Kyle Lowry, the Philadelphia native, is currently rated as a 76 overall in NBA 2K25. At age 38, the veteran point guard and former champion is a serviceable backup point guard with the playmaking to bring value to the Sixers.

KJ Martin – 74 Overall

KJ Martin signed a 2-year, 16-million-dollar deal in the offseason with the Sixers. With a driving dunk rating of 92 and a vertical rating of 87, the hyperathletic power forward will certainly finish more than a few alley-oops.

Ricky Council IV – 73 Overall

An undrafted free agent on a two-way deal to a key young player for the Sixers last season, Ricky Council jumped up from 68 overall last season to a respectable 73 overall this year.

Jeff Dowtin – 70 Overall

Jeff Dowtin also improved his rating from last year from a 69 overall to a 70. On a two-way deal, Dowtin could provide some backup point guard minutes if needed.

The New Additions

Andre Drummond – 78 Overall

Andre Drummond makes his second stop in Philadelphia at a 78 overall. While not the same as he was in the NBA 2K17 when he was rated as an 87 overall, Drummond still carries with him a 98 overall defensive rebound rating and an offensive rebound rating of 97. With 95 strength and an 85 close shot rating, Drummond is still one of the best contributors on the Sixers’ bench.

Caleb Martin – 76 Overall

Caleb Martin averaged a career-high 10.0 points per game last year but took a step back in his efficiency. After signing a 4-year $35 million contract in the offseason, Martin brings 45 games of playoff experience and a solid three-point shot.

Eric Gordon – 76 Overall

Eric Gordon is the next former Rocket to join the 76ers. He is a three-level scoring guard with an 83 overall three-point shot, an 82 overall mid-range, and a 79 overall layup. If you need someone to get a couple of buckets, Gordon is the man to go to.

Guerschon Yabusele – 74 Overall

Guerschon Yabusele, after a great Olympic run with France’s national team, joined the Philadelphia 76ers in late August. This is the highest Yabusele has been rated so far.

Reggie Jackson – 74 Overall

Reggie Jackson spent last year with the Denver Nuggets and was traded and subsequently released by the Charlotte Hornets. He will provide depth at the point guard position. Athleticism and passing accuracy are his best qualities in the game.

The Rookies

Jared McCain – 70 Overall

After an excellent freshman year at Duke, the Sixers’ 16th overall pick is tied for the 16th-best rookie in the game at 70 overall. His mix of shooting and ball handling should translate well into 2K as a deep bench option. He has the same three-point rating as Joel Embiid at 82 overall.

Adem Bona – 69 Overall

Adem Bona, who averaged 12.5 points per game on 58.4% shooting from the field last year for UCLA, comes in as a 69 overall this year. He is similar to KJ Martin in this year’s 2K. With an 85 overall driving dunk, an 89 overall vertical, and an 80 overall standing dunk, he will be effective in finishing around the rim.

MyNBA and MyGM Game Modes

If you’re a fan of the MyNBA or MyGM game modes, Joel Embiid has two years left on his contract and a player option. Paul George is also another decision you will have to make should you select the 76ers. At 34 years old and a 56 million dollar player option on his age 37 season, he will be one of the most expensive players, if not the most expensive player, on your team for the foreseeable future.

While Embiid and George will surely anchor a contender throughout that time, it’ll be up to you if you want him to ride out his contract or if you want to build around 23-year-old star Tyrese Maxey. With valuable draft picks and an excellent team, you’ll need to continue contending for a championship while also figuring out what the next iteration of the Philadelphia 76ers will look like.
