After an impressive offseason, the Eagles will now kick off their redemption tour on Friday night in São Paulo, Brazil against the Green Bay Packers. While many may have mixed feelings about how this team will finish, our Eagles staff is here to give you hope and even break your heart a bit. Before the 2024 season kicks off, here is our Eagles’ staffs predictions for the 2024 season:
Bryan Cameron
I get it. Last season was a tragedy. So much went wrong for the Eagles but some good came out. The team’s core came back with a new focus that was contagious enough to catch the young players and even the recently added players like Saquon Barkley and Bryce Huff. While the jury is still out on the linebacker group, this team is much more well-rounded than last year’s. They’re also not dealing with the dreaded Super Bowl hangover this year which is a huge plus.
I believe the offense will be a top-5 unit in the NFL this season and the secondary could be much better. Although the pass rush has me a bit worried, I wouldn’t be surprised if Fangio’s defensive front ends up being the strength of this defense. The Eagles have a pretty friendly schedule this year with no true gauntlet standing in their way. This team was dragged through the fire last season just so that they could rise from the ashes and finish at 13-4 this season with another Super Bowl appearance.

Let’s start off this prediction with a fact: the Eagles are far and away the best team in the NFC East. They will win the division. The Cowboys and Giants took two steps backwards. Commanders vaulted up to No. 2 after an excellent offseason. But, how good are the Eagles? It’s the ultimate unknown, especially since they boycotted the preseason.
The talent is everywhere, palpable, up and down the roster — although question marks punctuate key spots, mainly at offensive line — bye Jason Kelce, hello Cam Jurgens — and in the secondary — we see you, Quinyon Mitchell and Cooper DeJean — along with the tricky adaptation of a new coaching staff. Jalen Hurts is out of excuses under new coordinator Kellen Moore.
So, it’s a lot. None of it clear-cut. Still, the Eagles should be one of the elite teams left standing in the NFC. I have them going 12-5, maybe 11-6 depending on how a few AFC games play out, but they don’t end up bringing home the Lombardi. The Lions take them out one game ahead of the NFCCG, then the current heats up on Nick Sirianni’s electric chair. Tough decisions abound.

The Eagles have a new OC and DC. They are also in the process of replacing a Hall of Fame Center.
Usually, that would be too much for a team to overcome, but I expect the Eagles to thrive from the changes and the new energy in the building. Jason Kelce has been at the Novacare almost every day lending his advice and help to Cam Jurgens to ensure he does not struggle.
Fangio is an experienced DC and plays the style of defense that the Eagkels tried to replicate with 3 other coordinators, now they have the real thing.
Kellen Moore brings everything the Eagle’s offense missed last year, and hopefully an answer to last year’s fatal flaw, an answer to the blitz.
Prediction, Eagles 12–5, 2nd in conference, and another trip to the Super Bowl. This time the good guys win!

Each new football season brings optimism and excitement. I will be riding that optimism train as I do believe the Eagles have the talent to get back to the playoffs, but will be getting on the second stop. I think the Eagles fall to the Packers in a shootout in Brazil on Friday. However, this Eagles’ train should find itself at the playoff platform when it’s all said and done.
After the tough loss, I like the Eagles chances in their next five games against the Falcons, Saints, Buccaneers, Browns and Giants. With the Falcons and Browns games being home, I think those will be relatively easy wins. I like their chances against the Saints in New Orleans, but their lack of success against Tampa will continue (have lost four of the last five games against the Bucs). They earn their first division win in Week 7 with a road win at MetLife as they stymie the struggling Daniel Jones and this anemic Giants offense to start the season 4-2.
Then we hit arguably the “tough” stretch of this year’s schedule. I don’t think this defense will have enough answers to stop a Bengals offense with a healthy Joe Burrow on the road. They bounce back with a gritty win the following week over the Jaguars as Doug Pederson once again makes a return to Lincoln Financial Field but has his team ready for an upset. Up next, their first battle against the Cowboys in Dallas, where they will fall in a close game because splitting with the Cowboys is nearly as guaranteed as death and taxes. That puts the Eagles at 5-4 through Week 10.
After the tough game against Dallas, the Eagles will have to come back on short rest with a Thursday Night showdown in South Philly against a rejuvenated Commanders offense led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels which proves too much for the Eagles to overcome. They suffer one of their more frustrating losses of the season and force a sense of urgency now sitting at 5-5. They’ll bounce back in L.A. with a win over the Rams on Sunday night before falling to Baltimore in a physical December game.
From Week 14-18 it’s going to be quite a nerve-wracking stretch where I think every game is going to be a must-win for the Eagles. The good news…I think this defense starts to turn the corner at this point of the season and the younger players become more comfortable and help alleviate the pressure of the offense having to put up a lot of points each game.
They steamroll the Panthers, take care of business at home against a Steelers offense that shouldn’t scare too many teams in the NFL. A dominant rebound win in Washington after they execute a better game plan against Daniels provides the momentum needed to beat Dallas in a thriller at home in Week 17 before closing out the regular season with a win against the Giants.
That’s right. They rattle off five straight wins to close out the season.
The Eagles should win the NFC East as I don’t believe Dallas has done enough in the offseason to improve and are not a better team than the Eagles heading into Week 1.
Record Prediction: 11-6

The 2024 Philadelphia Eagles schedule presents a few opportunities for the Philly-based football team to establish themselves as a Playoff force in the NFL. Few predicted the landslide that ended the 2023 season, however, three of the last five games on the schedule required the Eagles to travel to Dallas, Seattle, and New York complicating the process of stopping the losing skid. In 2024, the Eagles will have the opportunity to relax at home after the Thanksgiving Holiday with only short trips to Baltimore and Washington D.C. scheduled in December.
The first chunk of the season is road-heavy with trips to Brazil for Week 1, New Orleans in Week 3, and Tampa Bay in Week 4 before the NFLPA mandated off week for players. The Eagles will enter the bye week at 3-1 with the loss to New Orleans after a pair of wins against Green Bay and Atlanta. Philly will be eager to avenge last season’s NFC Wildcard loss in Tampa Bay last season, and Jalen Hurts doesn’t let the Eagles lose there again in 2024. Following the bye week, the Eagles disarm Cleveland before Saquon Barkley runs over the New York Giants at MetLife Stadium in New York during Week 7. The Eagles are flying high at 5-1.,
Philadelphia reached the part of the schedule that will be unbearable to those who live in or near the city and listen to sports radio. The Eagles travel to Cincy but fall short to Joe Burrow and Co. in Week 8 before rebounding to celebrate LeSean McCoy’s career with a win over Jacksonville to improve to 6-2. Sounds good, right? Here comes the bad news.
The Eagles fall at Dallas and it gets worse… then at home to Washington on a quick turn-around for a Thursday night game to fall to 6-4. However, the home supporters always travel well to Los Angeles helping to boost the team to a win on Sunday Night Football against the Rams. The good vibes are short lived with the Eagles dropping a tight road contest to Baltimore to slip to 7-5.
Unlike the 2024 season, Philadelphia controls its fate with four home games at Lincoln Financial Field late in the year. The Eagles pick up wins over Carolina and Pittsburgh improving to 9-5. Revenge is served in a chilly game at Washington as the Eagles split the season series with the Commanders to grab win #10 on the year. Dallas comes to town and…. (ducks)… eeks out a win in Week 17 in Philly to drop the record to 10-6. A home win over the New York Giants to celebrate the New Year completes the Eagles regular season at 11-6 and launches the Eagles into the NFL Playoffs.

Expectations have shifted after last year’s disappointing climax. With Saquon Barkley now headlining the backfield, the Eagles should be expected to make the NFC Championship game this season at an absolute minimum. While the new coaching staff might endure a few teething problems, this roster is simply too talented not to absolutely decimate the majority of teams on their schedule this season.
A 13-14 win season with a sneaky loss to the likes of the Dallas Cowboys, and maybe a trap game or two, feels likely. Jalen Hurts has everything needed to re-ascend to that MVP-caliber play that sent the Eagles to the Super Bowl two years ago and it’s hard to imagine a scenario where Hurts doesn’t turn heads once again.
The Eagles can re-assert their dominance in the NFC with a strong 2024 campaign and they have all the ingredients for a really special season. With potential breakout candidates lining up all over the defense, there aren’t many teams (Ravens, Rams, Packers, Cowboys, Browns) who pose a realistic threat to completely silence this team.
It’s tough to go into a season expecting greatness, but it’s even tougher to settle for anything less when the team is this good on paper.
What do you think the Eagles record will be in 2024?
