This is a big game for both sides. With 2nd place in the group (Denmark) sitting on just one point after the opener, the road to qualification is still ripe for travelling, but it has to start with a win here.
You could argue that Serbia were the much better side of these two in their opening game. The Serbs bought a level of physicality that was really disruptive to England and they did well to bounce back from an early 1-0 deficit. Unlucky not to get anything from the match, they’ll be hoping for an easier go of things against a Slovenia side that are clear underdogs here.
Speaking of Slovenia, while they were unable to beat Denmark, they very easily could’ve. Benjamin Sesko’s early chance was gut-wrenchingly close and the discipline and resilience shown to respond to Denmark’s goal was beyond impressive.
This is a tough game to read, but while Slovenia are far from a star-studded outfit, their play disciplined and controlled, much like Serbia did in the closing stages against England. The draw will give them a huge confidence boost in a game like this and I feel like they could very easily squeeze another point in a low-scoring slobber-knocker. I’ll be taking ‘both teams to score’ at -125.
Aleksandar Mitrovic is +145 to score anytime and should have plenty of chances against Slovenia, but I think the real value lies on Sesko (+270), who’s shifty nature almost netted a vital goal for underdogs in the opener.
Denmark vs England

England were lucky to escape with a clean sheet against a resilient Serbian side and Denmark will provide a much tougher test. While resident wonderkid Jude Bellingham stole the show, questions over Trent Alexander-Arnold’s presence in the midfield and a lack of composure from Phil Foden are totally valid and Denmark will be very aware of some uncharacteristic vulnerability from one of the heavy favorites to win the whole thing.
Christian Eriksen’s fairytale goal isn’t just huge for his own story, but it’s bound to light a fire under a Danish team who have consistently been dark horses in this competition. Denmark possess some real attacking threats and the chemistry between Eriksen and Hojlund has to be respected.
This could go one of two ways, but I think both teams find the back of the net in this match, with England being able to learn from a sloppy opener and do enough to take all 3 points. England to win and over 2.5 goals is +205 right now.
I do like Harry Kane’s anytime goal market at +105. The all-time leading scorer for the nation didn’t really get a ton of service in the opener and they’ll be very aware that has to change if England is to really pose a threat in this competition.

A real marquee matchup in every sense of the word, Spain and Italy lock horns in a clash of Titans on Thursday.
La Roja set the tone in their opener, dominating Croatia thanks to some beautiful attacking play. 16-year-old prodigy Lamine Yamal stamped his authority in a blowout win, providing some real promise that another golden generation is upon us.
As for the reigning champions, they of course beat Spain in the Semi Finals back in a rollercoaster game in 2020. They’ve only gotten stronger since then, with Federico Chiesa becoming a talisman for the team, and the likes of Scamacca And Jorginho still as prominent as ever.
