DOOP vs SKC Game Preview
Both teams will come into the match after drawing their first MLS match of the season, with the Union drawing 2-2 against Chicago, and Sporting Kansas City drawing against Houston by a score of 1-1. The two sides have only faced off once in the last couple of years, which was a 0-0 draw last year at Subaru Park. Match Predictions!
So far this season, the Union’s defense has been leaky, conceding a total of seven goals in three matches. While we know the Union’s defense can be much better and will eventually be better this season, you can not ignore how much they have been conceding. Add that to the fact that the Union will most likely have a rotated squad for the match, and the favor is tilting towards Sporting Kansas City in this one.
This match is their home opener for the 2024 season, and for a club that plays much better at home, this will be an extremely tough test for what could be a tired Union side. As a Union supporter, this hurts to do, but as a betting man, I feel that the odds are too good to pass up.
Betting Pick: Sporting Kansas City ML +100 / Sporting Kansas City Draw No Bet -185
