For those amongst the Philadelphia Phillies Phaithful who have been counting down the days to watching Phillies back on TV, congratulations! Your countdown has officially reached its final days.
Grapefruit League baseball kicks off Saturday for the Phillies as they take a short trip north to Dunedin to face the Toronto Blue Jays. The first pitch for the contest is scheduled for 1:07 PM. And while the Phillies’s NBC Sports Philadelphia broadcast crew will not be joining them on the trip, the Blue Jays’ local RSN, Sportsnet, will be broadcasting the game, which will be available on MLB.TV with a subscription.
As of time of publishing, NBC Sports Philadelphia and and NBC Sports Philadelphia+ are scheduled to broadcast 13 of the Phillies’ 16 home games this Spring Training. Meanwhile, of the Phillies’ 15 away contests, 11 are currently slated to receive a TV broadcast from their respective home team’s RSN.

How to Watch Along
If you live in the NBC Sports Philadelphia market, then you know how to watch all of the Phillies’ home games on NBCSP and NBCSP+. For the remainder of the games, you won’t just be able to find them on your typical TV channels unless your service provider gives you every RSN channel out there.
Assuming this is the case for you, your best option to watch the Phillies’ away games (knowing it will be the opposing team’s broadcast feed) will be to stream via MLB.TV.
Now, I know what you are saying. You have to pay for MLB.TV. MLB.TV does give the option to subscribe on a monthly basis, paying $29.99 per month rather than the full-season price of $149.99. Additionally, if you are a season-ticket holder with the Phillies, you likely received an email earlier this week with your free subscription to MLB.TV for the 2024 season, is one of the perks of being a season-ticket member.
T-Mobile also typically provides free MLB.TV subscriptions for their client base, but that offer does not come out until closer to Opening Day, with Spring Training not included.
For those in the Philadelphia market, your choice is relatively simple: do you want to pay for MLB.TV through March to stream 11 additional Spring Training games? For anyone out-of-market, purchasing MLB.TV will allow you to stream all 24 broadcasted games, making that math a little more consumer-friendly.
Regardless of the financial choices, it is safe to say that baseball fans everywhere will be happy to hear the cracking of bats, the popping of mitts, and the ambient crowd noise of baseball through their televisions for months to come, all beginning tomorrow for the Philadelphia Phillies.
