The Philadelphia Eagles have released their final injury report ahead of their Christmas Day clash against the New York Giants. After a month of disappointing play, Nick Sirianni and the Eagles have a chance to get things back on track this weekend. But will they be at full strength?

Eagles injury report:

Unfortunately, the Eagles are going to be without some key players on Monday night.

Darius Slay was always going to be absent from the matchup having recently undergone minor surgery, while Landon Dickerson is in a similar boat having undergone thumb surgery.

The good news at least is that Cam Jurgens will be playing on Monday, which should lift the strain from the coaching staff who would otherwise be forced to roll out Tyler Steen and Sua Opeta at the interior guard spots. Missing one starter is unfortunate, but it’s better than missing two!

Zach Cunningham is another name who will be out on Monday. He was inactive against the Seahawks despite featuring prominently on the injury report over the last month. The Eagles are clearly being careful with the linebacker, but with Nicholas Morrow also questionable, it means that recently-signed Shaq Leonard is likely going to be given an expanded role once again despite his underwhelming performance against Seattle.

DeVonta Smith missed practice with a knee injury earlier this week, but told reporters that he’ll be able to go on Monday night. The young wideout is dealing with a bone bruise to his knee, but will indeed suit up on Christmas Day, which will be a huge relief for Eagles fans.

Avonte Maddox set to return soon?

Avonte Maddox was a full participant in practice this week, but he won’t be returning just yet. There’s no need to rush Maddox back, especially with Bradley Roby now reliably playing again. However, getting a corner of his caliber back in time for the playoffs would be huge, and that possibility feels like a large one.
