The Philadelphia Eagles are currently battling it out with their toughest rival under the primetime lights. That didn’t stop Nick Sirianni from digging deep into his bag of tricks in Sunday Night’s clash against the Cowboys, however,
Braden Mann lined up to punt after a stunted offense drive at the start of the second quarter…or so we thought. Instead, he scooped the ball up and threw a dart to Olamide Zaccheaus, who was wide open and in a spot to give the Eagles a much-needed first down.
The Birds were able to turn that into three points, putting them on the board and reducing the deficit to 10-3.
This was just a really cool thing to see. It’s not often you see the Eagles pull out special teams trickery, although they have become renowned for funky plays such as the ‘Brotherly Shove’ and iconic ‘Philly Special’.
Can the Eagles go on to win the game? We certainly hope so!
