Miami vs Florida State: Betting preview

The Seminoles obliterated the Hurricanes 45-3 when these two teams last clashed, but it’s Miami who have won four of the last six games against their rivals. The series is split 35-32 in favor of the Canes, but the Seminoles will be looking to make a statement this weekend.

FSU is one of only seven remaining undefeated teams and will not want to surrender that streak to a bitter rival. They may have already secured a spot in the ACC Championship game and riding a five game win streak, but they cannot afford to take Miami lightly.

The Canes rank 4th in the ACC defensively and have a fairly stout offense. Whether or not they can keep pace with the ACC’s top offense that features a pair of electric wideouts and a dominant back in Trey Benson who is averaging over 6 yards per carry, is another question entirely.

Games between these two teams are always worth watching, but with the prospect of an upset being so enticing, it’s almost deemed must-watch television.

Miami vs Florida State Betting prediction

I actually like Miami to cover here. As dominant as FSU has been this season, the Canes always come alive in this matchup and will be keen to avenge last season’s thrashing.

Prediction: Miami +14.5
