The Philadelphia Eagles have just released their second injury report of the week and there’s both good news and bad.

The good news is, cluster injuries in the secondary are beginning to ease up.

The bad news is, cluster injuries in the trenches are just beginning.

Eagles Injury report: Thursday October 5th 2023

Fletcher Cox – DNP (Back)
Cam Jurgens – DNP (Foot)
Marlon Tuipulotu DNP (Triceps)

Sydney Brown – LP (Hamstring)
Britain Covey – LP (Concussion)

Justin Evans – FP (Neck)
Quez Watkins – FP (Hamstring)

After a few weeks of uncertainty in the secondary, it seems as though things are brightening up. The Eagles should be getting Justin Evans back into the fold this week and there is a chance that Sydney Brown will also be available. Reed Blankenship has done a terrific job holding down the fort and while Terrell Edmunds has provided support, it has often lacked and the absence of starters at corner and Safety had forced Desai to play a more conservative defense.

At defensive tackle, the news goes from good to bad. It looks like Fletcher Cox is going to be out this week and running-mate Marlon Tuipolotu will potentially be joining him. The duo have played big roles in the season so far and while Tuipolotu isn’t the household name Cox is, he has 3 tackles and a sack to his name this season.

Milton Williams will be the first man off the bench to fill the void and this does mean we’ll likely get our first look at rookie DT Moro Ojomo, who many fans have been keen to see following an impressive Senior campaign at college.

Ojomo registered 24 pressures in 2022 which resulted in 5 sacks. It will be interesting to see what kind of impact he can make on Sean Desai’s defense.
