The Philadelphia Eagles revealed on Monday that the team has waived S Andre Chachere.
Eagles waive special teams ace Andre Chachere
The move does come as a slight surprise, but not a huge one. Chachere has largely been a special teams ace since signing with Philly, playing in 7 games last season and contributing on 141 separate special teams snaps.
The Eagles then decided to draft Sydney Brown on the back of bringing in Terrell Edmunds and Justin Evans. There is a lot of serviceable depth at the position and it may have left Chachere out in the cold.
The good news is that Howie Roseman has done right by the former Colts DB, giving him time to find a new home before the rigors of minicamp and OTA’s kick in.
Philadelphia will begin its offseason workout program at the end of May.
