The Bijan Robinson to Philadelphia train might be hitting an all-time high as the 2023 NFL Draft draws closer.

After Howie Roseman stated that the team would go after the best available player with the 10th overall selection, the Texas standout running back went on NFL Live on ESPN to discuss his incoming draft status. The top running back in the 2023 class, and the highest-graded rookie since Adrian Peterson was asked which quarterback (outside of Patrick Mahomes) would he rather play with.

His answer? Philadelphia Eagles franchise quarterback, Jalen Hurts.

Bijan Robinson’s answer was the latest in what has been a week of busy rumors surrounding the bell cow and the Eagles. Philadephia has not drafted a running back in the first round since 1986 and has had a history of looking for positions that are seen as better value than the running back group.

That doesn’t mean Philadelphia isn’t enamored with the possibility of adding one of the top young runners to their roster.

Robinson visited the Eagles earlier during the draft process and also came away very pleased with how the team is run.

“The Eagles, they were an amazing visit. Coaches, to the GM, to the janitor, the staff, everybody there was just amazing,” Robinson said on NFL Now.

The 21-year-old also acknowledged that meetings with the Atlanta Falcons and Tampa Bay Bucs also went well and that he would be comfortable going anywhere in the draft. Atlanta currently has the 8th overall selection in the 2023 Draft while Philadelphia sits at 10. If the Falcons decide to go the running back route though, the Eagles could have their pick of another top defensive talent.

But if Atlanta goes the defensive route, the Eagles could very well get the opportunity to add one of the best running back prospects in recent memory to their roster.

And having Jalen Hurts be the face of the franchise has certainly helped ease those value concerns as well.
