This afternoon the Philadelphia Phillies, Aramark, and Citizens Bank Park made announcements of the newest features of the stadium.
New Security Details at Citizens Bank Park
While there will be plenty of exciting new aspects of attending Phillies games that fans will enjoy, the one new update that will completely change the ballpark experience are the new security scanners.
Gone are the days of standing in line, removing your phone and keys from your pockets, and then walking through the sensors at the park. The Phillies have implemented new sensors with updated AI technology. This means that you can keep your items in your pockets and walk right through.
There is no security risk involved, either! This technology has been tested and will flag security if any sort of dangerous object is attempted to be brought into CBP.
Another cool feature is that there will be no more bag lines. If you are bringing a bag to the game, you do not have to stand in a separate line to have it checked. You, of course, have to meet the bag requirements for the stadium, but the contents of the bag will no longer be checked by an employee.
Uber RideShare announced for Citizens Bank Park
Another new addition to Citizens Bank Park is the Uber RideShare lot. In Lot T, there will now be a place for fans to request a ride home from the game.
Partnering with Uber, the Phillies have dedicated this section to creating a safe environment for those who are getting rides after the game. There will be charging ports for phones, as well as places to lounge as you wait for your driver to arrive.
To access this area, simply exit from the third base gate and head to Lot T. From there you can wait for your ride to pick you up without having to navigate through all of the other traffic that exists at the conclusion of the game. If you are an Uber driver yourself, this new feature will make your life a lot easier when trying to transport clients.
