If the last two weeks are any indication, player of the week awards aren’t going to be the only awards that Jalen Hurts is on the precipice of winning this year.
Back-to-back for Jalen Hurts
For the second consecutive week, the Philadelphia Eagles starting quarterback won the NFC Offensive Player of the Week Award. It’s the third such award he’s won this year.
He’s the first Eagle to win such an award in back-to-back weeks.
In the last two weeks, Hurts has won in various ways. Two weeks ago, he won player of the week honors for setting a franchise record for rushing yards in a game by a quarterback. Sunday’s 35-10 win over the Titans saw Hurts throw for over 380 yards and account for four touchdowns.
In total, Jalen Hurts has accumulated 702 total yards (533 passing, 169 rushing) and 6 touchdowns (5 passing, 1 rushing) in the last two weeks.
With the Philadelphia Eagles at 11-1 and on the cusp of a second consecutive playoff berth, the Eagles starting quarterback continues to turn heads as a top-five offensive weapon and a potential MVP candidate.
With two player of the week awards and a player of the month award at his disposal, the hardware continues to add up for Jalen Hurts.
