The Sixers travel down to the Windy City after demolishing the Toronto Raptors last night. Thanks to Tyrese Maxey’s heroic 44-point effort, the Sixers are one step closer to righting the ship this season and will now face their next test in a Chicago team that, while only 3-3, cannot be slept on, especially not at home.

With Joel Embiid back in the lineup tonight, the Sixers are at full strength. But who will have the upper hand after tonight?

Betting preview

The Chicago Bulls remain without starting point guard Lonzo Ball which has contributed to their slow start, but that’s not to say that this team does not have its fair share of dangerous players. DeMar DeRozan was an MVP candidate for much of last season, and guard Zach Lavine is coming off of his second consecutive All-Star season.

Philadelphia will certainly not go quietly into the night, however. Franchise player Joel Embiid, for instance, relishes any opportunity to play Chicago, specifically, their starting center Nikola Vucevic. The last time the two big men faced off, Joel Embiid walked off the court with 40 points and the win. The next time Embiid faced the Bulls? Forty-three points, and again, a victory.

It may not just be the Joel Embiid show tonight though as rising star Tyrese Maxey is likely looking to build off of his career performance last night. Will he be given the opportunity? That is the question now that he’ll be sharing the court with two of the NBA’s top iso players.
