Eagles’ Week 7 Rooting Guide: Can the Giants continue to win big and will the Cowboys rebound?

There are only two teams this season that can spell trouble for the Eagles down the stretch. One of them has already lost to Philly which would be the Dallas Cowboys while the New York Giants have yet to meet with the Eagles.

The Commanders have continued to spiral out of control after the recent news of Carson Wentz’s injury which means that the Eagles only have to be concerned with two teams in their division. Both of them aren’t as complete as the Eagles. Since the Eagles are on a bye week, here’s your week 7 rooting guide:

Dallas Cowboys Vs Detroit Lions

Dallas is finally getting Dak back and oddly enough his return is coming a week after the Cowboys fell to the Eagles 26-17. Coincidence? I think not. Why would you want your QB to return in a big-time game and risk the chance of complete chaos if he lost to a division rival in his first week?

Unfortunately, this week’s match won’t be easy for the Cowboys. They haven’t had enough time together on the field with their QB1 and the Lions are a very fiesta bunch that’s being overlooked due to their record.  The hope is that the Lions give the Cowboys the same trouble that they gave Philly in week one which would put Dallas at 4-3 on the season.

New York Giants vs Jacksonville Jaguars

The Giants are on an incredible high right now and their defense, as well as Saquon Barkley, has carried the team to a 4-1 record. But the question is how long can this success last if their QB1 is playing the worst football of his career? Add that to the fact that their wide receivers are dropping like flies due to injuries or trade speculation and it could spell a recipe for disaster.

The Jaguars are finding their groove due to the arrival of Doug Pederson but can they be enough to hold off the Giants? They do have one of the top rushing defenses in the league while the Giants have the top running back in the league. It will be an interesting matchup that Eagles fans should pay attention to. Philly could use the breathing room if Jacksonville is capable of beating their division rival.
