With the Eagles needing to trim the roster to 53 before next Tuesday, it appears the front office is getting closer to that goal. According to reports, the Eagles are trading defensive back, Ugo Amadi to the Tennessee Titans. The deal is reportedly involving late-round pick swaps in the 2024 draft.
Ugo Amadi was traded to the Eagles from the Seahawks for J.J Arcega-Whiteside 10 days ago and is now being shipped off to Tennessee. He was a fourth-round selection in 2019 and started 12 games over the last three seasons with Seattle. Amadi played sparingly in the team’s second preseason game in Cleveland. The former Oregon prospect grew up in the Nashville area and gets to reunite with his hometown team.
To turn JJAW and a late 2024 pick into a better 2024 pick through a middle-man trade is beyond impressive no matter how you look at it. Howie Roseman truly is playing 3D chess when everyone else is playing checkers.
The Eagles are now sitting at 79 players on their current roster, with the franchise needing to get to 53 by next Tuesday.
