Alec Bohm | Over 1.5 Total Hits

It may no longer be July but after a slow start to the month, Philadelphia Phillies’ third baseman Alec Bohm rebounded nicely with a three-run bomb last night against the Nationals. Admittedly, Bohm is hitless against Gray this season, but for a hitter as talented as Alec Bohm, that trend will soon change, possibly even tonight.

Kyle Schwarber | Over 1.5 Total Bases

Kyle Schwarber loves playing the Washington Nationals as much as anybody. On the season, he’s enjoyed a .355 batting average while hitting six home runs, bringing home eight batter, and scoring 13 runs. All of that in just nine games just goes to show how great Schwarber can be when he gets hot.

In four of those nine games, Schwarber has collected more than two total bases. He also has noted success in the past against starting Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray. When the two last met, also in citizens bank park, Schwarber too the young pitcher deep not once, but twice. Assuming this game is not also cut short due to weather conditions, the odds of Schwarber netting two or more total bases seem quite favorable.

Josiah Gray | Over 6.5 Total Pitching Strikeouts

Washington Nationals pitcher Josiah Gray has certainly had himself an up and down season. One part of his game that has been consistent however is his ability to make hitters swing and miss. Gray has averaged 10.4 strikeouts per nine innings this season which places him above names like Zack Wheeler, Aaron Nola, and 2021 Cy Young Winner Robbie Ray.

In their last meeting on July 6th, Josiah Gray struck out 11 Phillies in Citizens Bank Park. He may not reach double digits tonight, but he certainly has a chance to reach seven strikeouts.
