One of the biggest questions that surround NFL training camps is who makes the final 53-man roster. With Eagles camp just about two weeks away, it’s time to speculate who will make the final cut and be a part of the 2022 Philadelphia Eagles.

Today, we start at the quarterback position.

The Eagles have historically carried three quarterbacks on the active roster so I think they’ll continue to do so this season.

Jalen Hurts and Gardnew Minshew are obviously going to stay on the team as they are both entrenched as the starter and backup role respectively for the Eagles. Jalen Hurts kicks off the 2022 season as the face of the franchise and hoists arguably the largest amount of pressure than anyone else in the game of football.

As backups go, Gardner Minshew is as good as they come. While a below .500 record in starts is nothing to jump for joy about, Minshew’s accuracy is a huge help for the Eagles and he can certainly win games when needed.

Philadelphia has a very solid 1-2 combo at the quarterback position.

The question really comes down to who is the third quarterback on the roster? Carson Strong had an excellent career at Nevada, and if not for multiple knee injuries, he is probably drafted higher than other quarterbacks were taken.

Still an undrafted rookie to make the roster has to blow the minds of everyone in attendance. Strong certainly has the arm to do so, but health will be the main question. If he performs anything like he did at Nevada, Strong is going to blow away Sinnett in practice.

Reid Sinnett has never seen game action but has bounced around practice squads between the Dolphins, Eagles and Buccaneers after signing as an undrafted free agent. The Eagles reportedly like what they have in the prospect, but if it’s a comparison to the type of arm either QB has, it won’t be close.
