The Philadelphia Eagles are not done adding to their cornerback room. Almost a full week after signing pro-bowl corner James Bradberry, the team recently claimed Jimmy Moreland off waivers after the 26-year-old was cut by the Houston Texans.
Moreland has played in 37 games overall and started ten of them, all with the Washington Commanders before playing for Houston last season. The former 7th-round draft selection played sparingly last season, registering only two tackles total in seven games played.
Moreland joins a very crowded CB room. He is the 13th corner brought to the team as he tries to make the 53-man roster.
Jimmy Moreland spent his first two seasons with the Commanders and was cut before the 2021 season due to a knee injury.
At 5’11” he’s an adequate size for a corner in the Jonathan Gannon system and is expected to compete with the other young hopefuls looking to make the roster.
