Ivan Fedotov (G), has been signed to a one-year entry-level contract, as announced by the Philadelphia Flyers today. Fedotov, 25, was drafted by the Flyers in the 7th round (188th overall) during the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.
Fedotov spent the 2021-2022 season with CSKA Moscow in the KHL. He helped lead CSKA Moscow to the Gagarin Cup with his outstanding play between the pipes. Fedotov finished with a 16-6 record, along with a 1.85 GAA (goals against average) and a .937 save percentage.
Fedotov also won a silver medal for Russia during the Winter Olympic Games this year. He was the starting goaltender and finished with a 4-2 record, a 1.61 GAA, and .942 save percentage. He had two shutouts in his six games played.
Fedotov is a whopping 6’7 in height, and weighs 205 pounds. He’s spent his entire career playing in Russia, so the jump over to North America will be brand new for him.
Fedotov will be competing for the backup goaltender spot during Flyers training camp later this summer.
