Week Eight of MLS is in the books. We’re starting to get a really good look at which teams are good, and which aren’t. The end of the second month of the season is right around the corner, will the teams who see themselves in the playoff picture right now be there when we reach the end of week 34?

Week eight saw some thrilling matches and some boring ones. It’s always said you can’t win a season in the first few months, but you can lose it for sure. We could be seeing that with some teams, but others are waking up from a slumping being to 2022. Here’s a look at the highlights from week eight of 2022.

Winners in the East: DC, Miami, New York, NYCFC.
Draws in the East: Philadelphia, Montreal, Columbus, Charlotte.
Losers in the East: Chicago, New England, Atlanta, Orlando, Cincinnati, Toronto.
Winners in the West: Dallas, Minnesota, Austin, San Jose, Los Angeles, LAFC.
Draws in the West: Kansas City, Colorado, Portland, Salt Lake.

Week Nine Starts Now
The ninth week of the 2022 MLS season starts this Saturday. All teams except Seattle and Orlando will play this weekend. Seattle is focused on the CCL Final (the first leg is tonight at 10:30 pm) and Orlando will get a rest after playing one more game than most of the rest of the east. Here’s a look at the matchups for week nine.

Theres a lot of good matches this week, but the marquee matchup for week nine has to be the Nashville-Philly match on Sunday afternoon. Nashville is opening their brand new stadium and the Union is looking to stay in first place in the east yet again. Will we see any crazy or unexpected results? We’ll have to wait for the weekend to find out!
