Tyrese Maxey and the Sixers are in the middle of a soul-crushing five-game losing streak. They hope to right the ship tonight against the Nuggets.
Nothing will be easy as the Philadelphia 76ers will be forced to go up against reigning MVP Nikola Jokic. Tonight will be a big night for Andre Drummond and potentially Paul Reed as the latter attempts to further show his defensive growth.
The team is in need of a bounce-back in a big way if they’re going to rebound from their dismantlement at the hands of Bojan Bogdanović and the Utah Jazz. Hopefully, the team comes out motivated and not defeated, but that is up to Tobias Harris and Head Coach Doc Rivers to set the tone.
Here’s a look at the injury report for tonight’s game and when/how you can watch the matchup:
Injury Report
Philadelphia 76ers
- Joel Embiid – Out (COVID Protocols)
- Matisse Thybulle – Out (COVID Protocols)
- Danny Green – Out (Hamstring)
- Aaron Henry – Day to Day (Illness)
- Grant Riller – Out (Knee)
- Ben Simmons – Out (Personal Reasons)
The Sixers continue to be without three starters and one of the key members of their bench. To say that they’ve been short-handed this season would be a massive understatement. There is an obvious and direct correlation between the games missed (especially due to COVID) and this recent five-game slide. Hopefully, it’s not too much longer until Embiid and the reinforcements can arrive.
Denver Nuggets
Jamal Murray – Out (ACL)
Michael Porter Jr. – Out (Back)
Zeke Nnaji – Out (ankle)
Will Barton – Doubtful (back)
The Nuggets are suffering from their fair share of injuries as well; however, they still have Nikola Jokic leading the way and haven’t missed much of a beat this season. While they are certainly missing important players, health is on the side of the Denver Nuggets tonight.
