It’s officially football season. The Philadelphia Eagles have released their first injury report of the 2021 season and there’s good news!
I know it’s difficult to believe, but it’s true. The Eagles are actually..*checks notes* healthy?
With the players listed all taking part in practice, it’s a strong sign that they’ll at least be available for the opener against Atlanta. This means that after tearing an Achilles in back-to-back years, Brandon Brooks will somehow be playing. Rodney McLeod, who tore his ACL last year and missed the entire summer program, will be playing.
Davion Taylor missed a chunk of training camp with an injury but will be available for selection this weekend. Whether or not he sees much time in a crowded LB room is another question, but he was having a very strong summer before suffering a setback.
Landon Dickerson will likely start his NFL career waiting on the sidelines, but that’s not exactly a bad thing, learning from an established group of pro bowlers and veterans before dipping his toes into the water.
The Eagles face off against the Falcons this Sunday with kickoff at 1PM from Atlanta.
