The Eagles are now 1-0 under Jalen Hurts. Time to retire his jersey? Probably not, but with a strong game against an Arizona Cardinals team that has struggled to keep a consistent rhythm this year, he could at least propel the Eagles one step closer to claiming the NFC East crown. Here’s everything you need to know about the ‘other‘ birds.

If You Love Elf on a Shelf
You’ll love Murray in a hurry!
Sorry.
Kyler Murray is on track to become the first quarterback since Cam Newton to pass for over 7,000 yards and rush for over 1,000 in a player’s first two seasons. He is currently one of four (Griffen III, Wilson, Newton) to pass for over 6,000 and rush for over 1,000. He sits at 6,953 passing yards. Safe to say he’ll hit 7,000 vs the Eagles on Sunday.
The 2019 Rookie of the Year became the second quarterback ever to pass for 3,700 and rush for 500 (Newton) in his rookie year. He’s good.
With the Eagles struggling to contain QBs who can move (Taysom Hill excluded), look for Murray to exploit the defense with his new best friend.
If You Love Murray in a Hurry
You’ll love THE EAGLES SHOULD’VE TRADED FOR HOPKINS.
He’s third in the league in receptions with 94, fifth in receiving yards with 1,115, has the second-most first downs with 64, and he has been an incredible addition to the Cardinals offense.
He’s getting an average of 6.4 yards of cushion before the snap and he’s still getting 3.3 yards of separation. He has also forced five DPI’s on the year, tied for fourth-most (Fulgham has forced four!!!!).
Quite possibly the best Almost Eagle will most likely be facing a secondary that could be missing Darius Slay. Fun!
Eagles vs Cardinals History
The Eagles and Cardinals have met 117 times in the regular season and 3 times in the postseason. The Cardinals lead the regular-season series 58-55-5, and also lead the postseason series 2-1.
Eagles Predictions
Another game to see what Jalen Hurts has. Another game to see Haason Reddick feast. Matt Pryor will do his best to imitate what a right tackle should look like, but I don’t anticipate him showing much. Look for Hurts to be running for his life in a bad way while Kyler Murray runs for his life in a good way. Cardinals win 37-23.
Eagles Stat Predictions
- Hurts: 15/25 180 yards 1 TD 1 INT, 10 rush 80 yards
- Sanders: 17 rush 103 yards 1 TD
- Reagor: 5 rec 80 yards 1 TD
- Hargrave: sack
- Graham: sack
- Eagles secondary: woof
