Defensive line

Brandon Graham had another huge game in a season that’s rapidly becoming one of his best. Graham was a force to be reckoned with all night, but capped off his night with a game-sealing forced fumble – poetry.

This time he was supported by a wild Derek Barnett sighting! Seeing the defensive ends feast on the Giants tackles was music to the ears of just about everyone.

On the interior, Fletcher Cox finally had himself a night, but Javon Hargrave was nigh-on invisible. Considering the amount of money the Eagles invested in him and the position in general, this remains an area of concern.

Grade: B-

Linebacker

This was another tale of two halves. You have to commend Alex Singleton and Duke Riley, who played their tails off. Singleton ended the night with a pair of QB hits while Duke Riley’s tackling was a strong positive.

Elsewhere, Nate Gerry actually looked…good??? I mean, he also had some plays where he ran around like a Bull in a china shop, but baby steps…right? He also led the team in tackles again, which oddly has to be seen as a positive.

Grade: C+

Cornerback

Darius Slay holding Darius Slayton to a pair of receptions and 23 yards was everything the Doctor ordered. Nickell Robey-Coleman missing tackles and giving up on plays is certainly not. For whatever reason, he was starting outside, while Cre’Von LeBlanc was burned by Golden Tate before making up for it with a huge pass breakup.

The moral of the story: Getting a lockdown corner means nothing unless there’s help on the other side…which will be exploited otherwise.

Grade: C-

Safety

Rodney McLeod is the Darius Slay of the Safety position. Jalen Mills had an interception but was a nightmare in coverage. Will Parks was burned on a should-be touchdown to Evan Engram and had other lapses in play.

Not a vibe.
