Training Camp is reaching its pinnacle and for the Eagles, today was a tumultuous day. Here’s everything you need to know.

Eagles Injuries

The Elephant in the room here is obviously the season-ending injury to Andre Dillard. The second-year lineman was set to be the team’s starting left tackle until being carted off the field with what turned out to be a biceps injury.

The good news is that Jason Peters is likely to slide back to left tackle, with Matt Pryor bumping back up to the starting role in place of Brandon Brooks, at least somewhat negating the loss in a stable fashion.

Genard Avery’s injury scare yesterday was luckily just that. After being carted off the field, the defensive end is expected to be back at practice relatively soon.

Today has not been ideal on the injury front and there’s obviously reason to be concerned about Andre Dillard, but the insurance policy in place is one to be comfortable with.

Have yourself a day

One man who has seen his stock steadily rise recently has been DE Casey Toohill. The seventh-round pick has been making some significant ground on the battle just ahead of him for the EDGE5 spot and could well be a darkhorse to unseat Shareef Miller if he continues to turn heads.

3 sacks in one day is certainly one way to go about doing exactly that.

Watching from the highest tower

Another day, another John Hightower highlight. You wake up, brush your teeth, pour some cereal, and know that a John Hightower stunner is on the horizon. What a vibe.

Get me that grit

If there’s one thing that the Eagles value in their wide receivers, it’s a nastiness and willingness to block. They may not have had that in a while, but they’ve found it in their first-round pick.

Reagor giving it to the team’s top corner is a really encouraging sign. I love that grit and especially on screens and in the run-game, that mentality will be so valuable.

Wentz to JJAW connection

We all know that Arcega-Whiteside’s stock has been soaring as of late, but it’s hitting new heights as Wentz builds confidence in his big-man.

Wentz loves tossing it up and letting his receivers make plays, and it looks as though JJAW might finally be in a position to tick that box.

An Eagles open Slay

it’s been a slightly bumpy start to camp for Darius Slay as he tries to defend the army of Sonic The Hedgehog characters lining up opposite him, but it appear as though the former Pro Bowler is beginning to find his footing.

Not that this was ever in doubt, but it’s good to see Slay making some plays as Camp reaches its peak.

Burn baby burn, Eagles inferno

One man who has consistently impressed this Summer has been Deontay Burnett, who has been making highlight plays at every turn. That trend didn’t come to a halt today.

His path to making the Eagles’ roster might be elongated, but Burnett should have banked himself a place on the practice squad with ease by now.

WildcatSZN

Ever since the drafting of Jalen Hurts and the appointment of Marty Mornhinweg, I’ve been dying to see our first glimpse at multiple QB’s making throws. Today, my prayers were answered.

THINGS WE LOVE TO SEE.
