In today’s episode of ‘Instagram watch’, we actually have some Eagles related news. Newly signed CB Nickell Robey-Coleman took to social media to post an Eagles edit where he’s wearing a new number…
That number formerly belonged to Jalen Mills, who ‘NRC’ stated is switching to #21 in the comments.
Robey-Coleman wore #23 with the Rams but clearly had a change of heart when joining his new team. A position switch for Mills may have prompted him to drop down to the 20’s and adopt a number once worn by running-mates Ronald Darby and Patrick Robinson.
The former Rams CB agreed to a one-year deal with the Eagles last week.
Although he’s mostly remembered for that no-call against the Saints two years ago, the 5’8, 180 lbs, cornerback has proven himself to be a reliable enough corner over the last few years in LA. With the Eagles, he’s likely going to be forced into a ‘nickel’ role and will likely compete head-on with Cre’Von LeBlanc.
It will definitely be weird seeing Mills in a different number, but a new position and a new contract perhaps drew him to a new number as well.
