In what could be the biggest comeback since Brandon Brooks and his battle against a torn Achilles, Zach Ertz is somehow reported to be cleared to play tomorrow.

There was a lot of speculation over Ertz and whether or not the franchise tight end would be facing the end of a season or not, but it appears as though the star from Stanford has plenty of fight in the tank.

Ertz suffered a lacerated kidney two weeks ago and was listed as questionable on the team’s injury report.

Just because he’s been cleared, it doesn’t mean he’s guaranteed to play or contribute as usual. The injury is a worrying one that has to be treated with caution and the Eagles medical staff has come under a lot of fire as it is this season.

If Ertz can play, that will be huge. The Seahawks have given up the 2nd most yards to tight ends this year and after George Kittle posted 86 yards last week, it’s safe to say that Ertz appearing in 12/13 personnel sets would be a blessing for the Eagles offense.

Regardless of whether he plays or not, the fact this is even a discussion is borderline remarkable. Let the character and toughness of Ertz never be questioned again.
