The Flyers announced a frost warning in Philly. They recalled Morgan Frost from Lehigh Valley. It’s time to get FROSTY!
Flyers fans have been waiting for his news for quite some time. Frost has been the leading point scorer for the Phantoms through 16 professional games, amassing 12 points (5G/ 2A). The Flyers have struggled with secondary scoring most of the year and although the Flyers are playing good hockey at this time, there is a need to get the third line scoring. Frost brings another skilled youth to an already young lineup.
What can be expected of the 20-year-old?
In juniors, Frost averaged over a point per game. He is a playmaker that can find the back of the net, which had left Flyers’ fans calling for his recall for weeks. In fact, just last night when recording their Podcast, the Pod Street Bullies, they were asked when Frost would be called up. James Van Riemsdyk, Kevin Hayes, and Jakub Voracek. have struggled offensively this season, only adding to the cries from afar.
To make room on the roster, the Flyers sent down Carsen Twarynski, who spent much of his time with the Flyers on the third line with Hayes and Voracek. Carsen was a high energy player that struggled to find the back of the net.
The Flyers play tomorrow in Florida and then Thursday in Carolina. We can expect Frost to make his NHL debut during this road trip.
