The Eagles have released their second injury report of the week and it’s very similar to yesterday’s.
The only change is that Darren Sproles was absent due to a quad injury. This is something to monitor and if he is to miss Sunday’s game, it could mean that we see a little more from Boston Scott, a running back who is built in the same mold as the future hall of famer, and has flashed an impressive skillset during some sporadic offensive snaps with the Eagles this season.
It’s also looking likely that Alshon Jeffery will be sidelined. Will second-round pick JJ Arcega-Whiteside step up and fill that role? He does mirror Jeffery’s frame and strengths, but due to ‘cross-training’ three positions this season, he’s seen very little in the way of offensive snaps. It would be odd to see him suddenly thrust into a WR1 role and almost certainly raise questions, but at the end of the day, he should absolutely be expected to step up given that he’s almost a perfect replacement for Alshon, who has hardly been spectacular this season anyway.
Nigel Bradham missed practice again and this could lead to an increased workload for TJ Edwards and Nate Gerry.
The Eagles will release their third and final injury report of the week tomorrow afternoon.
