J.T Realmuto must be starting the holiday season by singing his version of Yukon Cornelius’ or Burt Ives Christmas Classic “Silver and Gold.” Realmuto won his second career Silver Slugger Award just days after winning his first career Gold Glove Award.

Realmuto had some of his best offensive numbers this season with the Phillies. He batted .275 with 25 home runs, 92 runs scored and 83 RBI, all three were career highs. He joins Johnny Bench and Jorge Posada as the only other catcher with at least 90 runs scored, 35 doubles and 25 home runs in a season.

It has been a heck of a year for Realmuto. It started off with the trade to the Phillies and was followed by the birth of his daughter. He then battled through a mid-season slump and still put up big offensive numbers for the Phillies.

It is safe to say the addition of Realmuto has been fantastic. The Oklahoman is set to get one more big number this year – A long-term 9 figure contract. Make it happen Phillies.
