The Eagles have released their final injury report ahead of this weekend’s crucial matchup against the Dallas Cowboys and once again, the team will be missing some firepower on both sides of the ball.
The Nigel Bradham injury stings a little more due to the fact that the Eagles released Zach Brown on Monday. Nate Gerry, Kamu Grugier-Hill, and T.J Edwards will be counted on to step into starting roles, while practice squad promotee Alex Singleton could sneak some defensive snaps and a lot of special teams action. When it comes to cleaning up the run, the linebackers face a tough task in Ezekiel Elliott.
Missing DeSean Jackson has almost become expected at this stage. Doug Pederson continues to cite that he won’t rush the veteran speedster back from his abdominal injury and it’s something they’re paying very close attention to. The Eagles receivers have come under a lot of scrutiny this week, but the trio of Alshon Jeffery, Nelson Agholor, Mack Hollins will be counted on once more against Dallas.
Jason Peters is listed as ‘week-to-week’ which means first-round selection Andre Dillard will get his first NFL start. Dillard had a few teething problems against the rampant rush of Minnesota, but seemed to settle in nicely. Is this the first step on his way to one day taking the LT throne?
Ronald Darby being listed as questionable is also interesting. Jalen Mills also returned to practice today and the duo could be in line to pick up their starting roles, demoting Rasul Douglas. Whether or not this is the right call is debatable, but after weeks of being torched, any kind of reinforcement has to be seen as a positive.
