The dust has settled after the Eagles preseason-opening loss to Tennessee and unfortunately, there’s quite a lengthy injury list. The good news is, nobody on said list is out with a serious injury. But there are two key names who will miss the remaining three preseason encounters.
Lane Johnson didn’t play in the preseason game against Tennessee and is dealing with a knee injury, while Dallas Goedert picked up a minor injury to his calf during his 50-yard breakout on Thursday night.
Both are listed as week-to-week and are ultimately being kept out of action as the Eagles act on the side of caution. Who can blame them after a season that was derailed by injuries just under one year ago?
Goedert and Johnson are focal points of the Eagles offense and will likely be fully fit for week one, but their status is certainly worth keeping an eye on.
Another injury to keep an eye on is Shelton Gibson’s. The Eagles could have a very intense wide receiver competition brewing over the next few weeks and a 75-yard touchdown from Marken Michel is only expediting that.
