The news every Eagles fan has been begging to see has finally been confirmed, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

While details of the deal are still currently unknown, it didn’t take Wentz long to react to the news!

One year removed from what would’ve been an almost certain MVP award had it not been for a torn ACL in week 14, Wentz re-joined the offense in week 3 one year later and went on to pass for over 3,000 yards, 21 touchdowns and a completion percentage of 69%. In just 11 games, he finished in the top 10 for QB rating, ahead of Jared Goff, Andrew Luck, Dak Prescott, and Ben Roethlisberger.

The Eagles pip Dallas to the post once more. With rumors of a Dak Prescott extension swirling, the Birds’ new that if Prescott was given money first, the team would have to pony up even more. Roseman continues his trend of striking hot and cashes in on Carson Wentz while his value is at its lowest, and his potential is at its highest.

If Wentz balls out next year, which is highly likely given the fact he would have fully recovered from his ACL tear, spent an entire offseason with his new offensive coordinator and have some shiny new toys to play with, then the Eagles would have absolutely made the right decision. And given how explosive Wentz was in 2017 and how fluid he’s looked in OTA’s, I wouldn’t write off a resurgent season just yet.
