The Eagles have released their final injury report ahead of this weekend’s trip to Nashville and it carries a lot of promise.
#PHIvsTEN Status Report
Out: S McLeod (knee), RB Sproles (hamstring)
Questionable: RB Clement (quadricep), LB Gerry (groin), WR Jeffery (illness, shoulder)— Philadelphia Eagles (@Eagles) September 28, 2018
The big news here is that Jay Ajayi is off of the injury report. While his injury is one he can reportedly play through, it’s unclear just how much action he will see. However, the Brit will be dressed and ready to go on Sunday for a clash with the Titans, taking some stress off of Smallwood, Adams and Clement. Elsewhere in the backfield, Darren Sproles is still out with a hamstring injury, while Clement is questionable. Expect a relatively heavy workload for the underdogs once again.
Alshon Jeffery is also listed as questionable, which is a huge plus for the Eagles. The 6’3 receiver who tallied close to 800 receiving yards last year along with 9 touchdowns has missed the entire offseason and year so far due to a torn rotator cuff that was lingering during the Super Bowl winning season. The Birds may be close to having Jeffery under their wings after such a long absence, but they won’t be rushing him back. Expect (if any) a relatively contained workload for the Eagles’ number one receiver.
