The chances are very good of Philippe Myers making the roster on opening night. He had a phenomenal Rookie Game on Wednesday, and had a very good Rookie Camp in general. Myers is so tough to beat one-on-one, and Ho Sang of the New York Islanders found that out the hard way on Wednesday. I will go out on a limb, and say Myers makes the opening night roster barring injury.

Personally, I believe Carter Hart will be with the Lehigh Valley Phantoms to start the season. With that being said, the Flyers will look to get rid of the Goaltending log jam some how. In my personal opinion, I think the Flyers will waive Michal Neuvirth, thus paving the way for an Brian Elliott/Alex Lyon tandem to start the season.
Playing any NHL team to get the team prepared for the rigors of the season is a bonus. All players for the most part look good at Training Camp, but sometimes not as much during live action. The Islanders will be a good team in the future, especially with Lou Lamoriello as their General Manager. This is a great question to ask, but the Islanders are a fine assessment like any other team in the NHL would be in pre-season hockey.
If you would like to see your questions submitted in our weekly mailbag. Just submit your question on our Facebook page or on Twitter using #Flyersmail.
