Final Stretch
With the season ending on April 7th and the Flyers having to play 12 more games, its crunch time now. It is now or never for the Flyers who were pretty much locked into a playoff spot two weeks ago.
However, after struggling and hitting a wall, the Flyers are back in the battle to actually making the playoffs. With their recent slide, the teams below them have gained ground and gained ground quickly.
Tonight, the Flyers could go from 3rd in the division all the way to last wild card team with a loss.
The Flyers need a strong home stretch to assure themselves a spot in the playoffs and it starts tonight against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
Lindblom Getting Closer
If there is one Flyer who deserves to get at least a point, its Oskar Lindblom. LIndblom, who is scoreless in his first 11 career NHL games, has been snake-bitten.
Lindblom has had multiple high quality scoring chances in those 11-games. However, he has gotten any to go in. Some are not his fault with the goalie making a tremendous save. But, others have been on himself for trying to be to finesse.
If the Flyers can get Lindblom going, this team will add another threat to an already loaded top 6. Something that will cause an issue come playoff time for teams trying to matchup against the Flyers.
