Doug Pederson met with reported today to discuss the Eagles’ upcoming fixture against the San Francisco 49ers. One of the big storylines of this week has been whether or not Ronald Darby will return to action this week.
The Eagles Head Coach stated that Darby would be listed as questionable heading into Sunday, with the aim being to get Darby back to full health and doing more “Football things”
Darby has been sidelined since week one where he suffered a dislocated ankle. In his place, rookie cornerback Rasul Douglas has stepped up to the plate and mustered a pair of interceptions along with a flurry of passes defensed.
It will be interesting to see whether or not Darby does return to the field, although the Birds won’t be in a huge hurry. Jaylen Watkins, Corey Graham and Rodney McLeod are all healthy again. The Safety position is the strongest it has been all season in terms of depth which will give the Eagles some much needed flexibility in the secondary.
Partnered with the continued growth of Jalen Mills and breakout of Rasul Douglas, patience will most definitely be the name of the game when it comes to Ronald Darby.
