The Philadelphia Flyers have just completed some household cleaning of their own today on Friday. The Flyers announced the resigning of young defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere.
Ghost’s new deal with the Flyers is a 6 yr-$27 million deal with an annual cap hit of 4.5 million dollars. For his career he has registered 24 goals, and 61 assists for a total of 85 points in 142 games played. With Ghost resigning this can put to bed all the rumors that were swirling around with him not resigning because of some qualms with current Head Coach Dave Hakstol.
This is a great day to be a fan of this quality organization. Hopefully Ron Hextall will be able to Jordan Weal to the list of in-house players resigning in the coming weeks. One thing is certain the future is bright in Flyer land.
