Wujciak may not have been a lock to make the roster, but he was having a relatively strong Training Camp for an Undrafted rookie. The Eagles have seven DT’s remaining on their roster:
Fletcher Cox,
Bennie Logan,
Mike Martin,
Taylor Hart,
Beau Allen,
Destiny Vaeao,
Aziz Shittu.
Wujciak started 39 of his 49 games for Boston College last season and despite not being the most impressive athlete, a 4.91 40-yard dash, 34.5 inch vertical and a broad jump of 9’9 certainly raised a few eyebrows.
The 6’2 lineman had his best season as a senior, registering 12 tackles for a loss and 4.5 sacks.
The Eagles are probably going to place the undrafted rookie on IR or waive him..freeing up a roster spot. It will be interesting to see if they sign another DT to replace Wujciak or decide to strengthen another position for the remainder of Training camp.
